Howdy Folks,
If your summer's felt a little normal so far, never fear, you can
*shake*things up a bit with... THE SHAKES! We've got three
performances lined up
and we think you're bound to enjoy at least one of 'em:

*SATURDAY JUNE 20: SCHUYLER FARMERS MARKET  10:30am - 12:30pm.* 6484
Rockfish River Road, Schuyler, VA 22969.
Located at the Walton's Mountain Community Center & Museum! Come on out and
support Nelson County's newest farmers' market, tour John Boy's bedroom, and
remember the good ole days before the digital conversion! The Shakes
actually have a Waltons connection, believe it or not. You'll remember that
John Boy growed himself up and went off to "Boatwright University." This
fictitious institution takes its name from the library at the University of
Richmond, the school attended by author and Waltons creator Earl Hamner and
where I myself received some fine book-larnin'.

Ever wonder what The Shakes look like in their evening attire? Come on out
for some lively entertainment at the Dodger, enjoy a martini. I've been
brushing up on my Belafonte... FREE, but we'll gladly accept things. Really,
pretty much anything.

Johnson St, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.
Join us and the rest of the talented musical acts at the 6th annual OCP Lawn
Jam and enjoy some great music, fun family events, a yard sale, and
wholesome, healthy food. Bring your friends, meet your neighbors! This event
is free but all proceeds benefit Our Community Place. The Shakes are
scheduled to take the stage shortly after 2pm.
